He learned all the techniques and required cultural understanding and meaning from native tattooists, including the legendary Samoan tattoo artist Su'a Sulu'ape Paulo II, when he spent time traveling around islands like Fiji, New Guinea & New Zealand to produce the very best in traditional tribal Maori & Polynesian tattooing, incuding Fijian, Samoan, Hawaiian, Kakau, Tongan, Maqesan, Kirituhi and Borneo styles.
